July 3rd, 2010 If you want to play game that require windows xp SP3 but you have installed an older version like windows xp SP2 than this post is for you.
To upgrade windows Xp from SP2 to SP3 follow the steps given below:
- Goto “Start menu” and type “regedit”
- To backup entire registry goto file menu and select Export..
- A window of Export Registry File will open, save it with name “_backup_” somewhere at safe place
- Now brows this path
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
- Here modefy the value of “CSDVersion” from “200” to “300” and Exit.
- Reboot PC..
- Now check “My Computer properties” it is upgraded from SP2 to SP3
